French wines to buy in Malta

Herebelow are French wines that I recommend and where to buy them in Malta. A retailer that is not listed here can sell the wine ; he/she only has to contact the merchant or the importer.

French wine values tasted in 2005

Touraine wine labelb Touraine - Clos Roche Blanche - n°2 - Sauvignon

2004 - 6 € - needs a day to open up, the intense fruitiness reminds of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, some flower and a little herbaceousness - aromas of white fruit and freshly cut hay - onctuous, fat but firm, fresh almond, cherry, crisp - (more difficult and less complex than the 2001 bottling)

French wine values tasted in 2003

Touraine wine labelb Touraine - Clos Roche Blanche - Sauvignon - n°2

2001 - 5.8 € - a great purity - a varietal nose with exotic fruit (starfruit), a minerally note, and a hint of oxidation - the variety also shows in the mouth, grapefruit, zest, pear, apple, plant, almond, very intense, a minerally note, fresh with a straight hint - persistent, sandwich bread

Price figures are for 75 cl. They represent rough estimates of tags in France wine shops, at the date of the tasting.
